Above: The grandmother I remember. I think this photo was taken in early 1972 which would make her 79 years old.
Below: Her valentine letter gives an altogether different view. The postmark on the envelope is February 13th 1911. She would have been 18 years old at the time.
As you can't lift the ribbon to see the text underneath, I'll tell you the words that are obscured. Top left, under the red bow it says, 'If of all you think...' Top right, under the white bow, 'If of me you think...' Bottom left, under the blue bow, 'If me you think is true...' Electronic messaging isn't equivalent.
